People always ask me how I became a clairvoyant, witch and psychic medium. It’s a long, crazy story that started when I was collecting gumnuts and playing witches around the age of six.
I actually did my first spell at the age of nine. The funny thing was, I had no idea I was doing it (I found out in later life). You see, I experienced my mum as abusive; sadly, I hear from quite a few of my clients that they have experienced the same thing. This primal relationship was never nurturing. I got nurturing and sustenance from my Grandmother.
An incident at 9 years of age, at the hands of my mother, shaped my life in many ways. It was jarring.
My first reaction was to run into the backyard, grab a hibiscus flower, some eggshell and grass (a spell) to separate my relationship from my mother. I remember thinking and feeling very strongly, “you can do whatever you want to me, but you will never break me”.
In my early teens we moved interstate and away from my grandmother; I considered her to be my mother so it was very traumatic. I started to look for a doorway to understand myself and others and this is when I delved further into spirituality. By the end of high school, my focus became helping others.
After high school, I moved out and felt like I could finally embrace my witchiness and spirituality. You see, still to this day, no-one in my family talks about what I do. In those late teen years, I joined a local meditation group, did lots of spells and got into aura soma and rebirthing.
My early 20s was the first time I started doing readings publicly, part-time around my corporate job with a law firm. I was reading at a cafe every weekend for two years and that’s how things really started.
In my late 20s, I headed to London on a working holiday visa and worked for another law firm. While I was there, I continued my spiritual development and education, developing mediumship at Arthur Findlay College.
Although I was already connecting with people who had passed, this course was next level. I had to stand in front of a room of about 50 audience members, connect with someone who had passed and talk to their person in the audience. It was challenging but reaffirmed my connection and gifts.
While I was in the UK, I also continued connecting with my witchiness; as you probably know, there’s a lot of spiritual energy in England, Ireland and Scotland, so I tapped into that as much as I could.
After a couple of years in England, I returned to Australia to ‘get married and have kids’. I was hired by an acquaintance to work on the opening and closing ceremonies of the Sydney Olympic Games.
In November 2000 I moved to America with my then-boyfriend. Without a visa I was unable to work, so I offered to complete an unpaid internship with Starbucks corporate office and found my tribe at a local Spiritualist Church. I learnt so much at that time: more healing, blue rose meditation, and I deepened my connection to Mary Magdalene. I also attended a Buddhist University and studied the Enneagram.
I ended up with a senior corporate role at Quiznos (think Subway). It was a high-stress corporate job where I had to answer my mobile phone at any time of the day. Any. It was private planes, super yachts and experiences that I could write a book about. And when I say high-stress: God forbid I didn’t answer one of them whenever they rang!
Two years later I was burnt out. During this time, a recruiter called me with a corporate job offer; I actually hung up on them. They tried again and I ended up being interviewed and working for a high-profile lawyer. So high-profile, in fact, that I organised fundraisers for Barack Obama, organised private events for people I never thought I would ever meet. A highlight was organising a private breakfast for the Kennedy family as part of the team for the Democratic National Convention and saw Obama get elected that year. And so high-profile that I suffered from hypertension and high stress levels for almost five years.
During the time I worked with the Presidential campaign, I raised money for a donkey library in Ethiopia and, as a result, was invited to visit the Mother Teresa Orphanage in Addis Ababa. That trip changed my life and it still makes me cry every time I talk about it. I promised to return there and I will.
Although it was amazing to be part of history, I was ridiculously stressed. It was time to come home to Australia. Although I didn’t want to work in the corporate world again, I needed to build up my client base, so got back into the corporate world.
That meant I could start readings again on weekends, where an old client came to see me and said, “you used to read for my family 20 years ago and everything you told us came true”. I knew I had to keep building up my psychic clairvoyant business and skills. With all the trauma I was seeing with clients, I completed my psychotherapy studies and continued to learn to help people as much as I could.
You might be reading this wondering why I stuck with so many crazy bosses (think Devil Wears Prada on steroids!) and super stressful corporate jobs when I have higher gifts. You know what? When I look back, it’s my life experiences that help me to understand my clients, have no judgement whatsoever, and know how I can help them with the combination of modalities I use.
Now I love what I do because I get to help people like you from all around the world… people looking for heart-centred and honest insights, wisdom and magic.
I have been doing readings since I was 19. It is a big part of who I am. I love my client work and being the keeper of deep secrets, pain and helping people to get onto their life path of purpose and peace. I consider it a privilege to be an intimate part of your life.
Kind words from my clients
